Job Description

We are hiring for a great client in El Segundo seeking a detail-oriented part-time Accounting Specialist to join their finance team on a temporary contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong Accounts Payable experience who enjoys supporting essential finance operations in a professional and team-oriented environment.

Hours: 20–25 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice review, coding, data entry, matching, and payment processing
• Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with vendor inquiries
• Reconcile accounts, statements, and financial records as needed
• Support expense tracking, documentation, and filing of financial records
• Assist with payroll-related tasks and special projects as assigned
• Provide support during an ongoing ERP/HRM system implementation, including learning new processes and helping with finance-related transitions
• Work closely with finance staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of daily tasks
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive financial information

Qualifications:

• Recent experience in Accounts Payable is required
• Bachelor’s degree in related field is highly preferred
• Additional exposure to payroll is highly preferred, but training can be provided
• Experience working in accounting, finance, or administrative support roles
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative attitude
