Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery, est. 2016, is a destination brewery located in Newberg, Oregon. Surrounded by scenic farmland, it specializes in crafting small-batch, farmhouse-style ales using many locally-sourced and sustainable ingredients. As a community-driven brewery, Wolves & People is dedicated to producing high-quality, innovative beers while maintaining an authentic connection to its environment and patrons, especially through the music world. The brewery, which will open a 2nd retail location in downtown Newberg in late spring 2026, is widely recognized for its commitment to craftsmanship, creativity, and environmentally responsible brewing practices and has served as an incubator for many noted prefessionals in the industry.

Role Description

This is a part-time to full-time, on-site role for a lead brewer or Head Brewer, based in Newberg, OR. The Brewer will oversee daily brewing operations, including ordering, inventories, CIPs, mash preparation, fermentation management, quality control, blending, barrel work, labeling, and other packaging. Responsibilities include maintaining brewery cleanliness, monitoring and maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety and sanitation standards. The Brewer will also have the opportunity to contribute to recipe development and collaborate with the team to ensure consistency and excellence in every batch. Possible on-site living arrangements in a cottage on the property. Salary commensurate with experience in a range from $42K - 70K/year.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in all brewing processes, including hotside and cold throughout cellar, fermentation, and packaging, plus tech including EKOS, Sennos, and assorted brewing apps
• Attention to detail with an understanding of quality control and sanitation practices in brewing
• Basic mechanical skills to perform maintenance and troubleshooting of brewing equipment, forklift, and safe driving of company van
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating within a team and engaging with patrons, if needed
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 55 lbs) and work in physically demanding environments
• Previous experience working in a brewery or winery background is preferred
• Passion for craft beer and interest in creating unique and high-quality ales, especially saison, grisette, wild ales, lagers, and of course hoppy New World beers.
