Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Culinary Steward/Dishwasher to join our team in Cashiers, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and organized to support smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

• Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment and by hand as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including floors, walls, and workstations.
• Assist culinary staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Culinary Steward or Dishwasher preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as needed.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
