Custom Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Nurse Manager (RN) for a contract opportunity at an acute care hospital in Far Rockaway, New York.
This role requires a strong clinical leader with endoscopy experience, operating room experience, and prior management experience.
Position Overview
The Endoscopy Nurse Manager will oversee the leadership, coordination, and management of nursing services within the endoscopy unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow. This role includes 24/7 unit oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Staff Management
• Supervise and support nursing staff within the endoscopy department
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
• Foster a collaborative, patient-focused team environment
Clinical Oversight
• Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Monitor patient outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives
Operations and Compliance
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Oversee documentation, equipment, and supply management
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
Additional Details
• Must be present when the unit opens and remain until cases are completed
• Endoscopy unit currently operates two days per week
• When the unit is closed, the manager will assist in the main operating room as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years in Endoscopy or Gastroenterology
• At least 1 year of management experience
• Active New York RN License
• BLS and ACLS required; CGRN preferred
• Experience scrubbing and circulating in the operating room required
