Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team. This role supports healthcare operations by assisting with revenue cycle functions, case management activities, and patient financial processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare or social work settings and strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with healthcare revenue cycle functions , including financial assistance applications and cost estimation
  • Support case management and/or social work activities for patients
  • Maintain accurate documentation using healthcare systems and software
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Word , Excel , and other software programs
  • Collaborate across departments and participate in cross-training initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in:
  • Healthcare or revenue cycle functions
  • Case management or social work
  • Or similar business office environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Excel and other software applications
  • Epic or similar healthcare systems
  • Financial assistance processes and cost estimation
  • Background in social work or case management
  • Social Work
  • Healthcare Administration
  • Business Administration

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Application Counselor (State of Wisconsin & Federal)
  • OR Licensed Health Insurance Agent
