Job Description

Minutemen Staffing Is looking for Flooring Techs, You must have open availability to work 7 days a week. Pay rate is at $17 and you must have reliable transportation.

An Epoxy Flooring Technician is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying epoxy coatings to floors in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of coating systems, and the ability to work with specialized tools and chemicals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, shot blasting, or sanding concrete floors
• Repair cracks, holes, and imperfections before coating application
• Mix and apply epoxy, polyurethane, and other resin-based coatings
• Ensure proper thickness, smoothness, and finish of flooring systems
• Apply decorative finishes such as flakes, metallic coatings, or quartz systems
• Operate tools like grinders, vacuums, squeegees, and rollers
• Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals and equipment
• Inspect finished floors for quality and durability
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with epoxy or concrete coating systems (preferred)
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques
• Ability to use power tools and industrial equipment
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Physical stamina (lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
• Basic understanding of safety standards (PPE, ventilation, chemical handling)
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Work Environment

• Residential homes, garages, warehouses, factories, and commercial buildings
• Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals (protective gear required)
• Indoor and outdoor work depending on project

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• On-the-job training or prior flooring/coating experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel to job sites
• Overtime or weekend availability
