We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Tile Setter to join our team. The candidate will have a strong background in tile installation, including ceramic, porcelain, glass, and natural stone, and will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship on various projects. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut tiles to fit specified areas using hand and power tools.
- Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives.
- Install tiles on floors, walls, and ceilings, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
- Grout and seal tile joints to ensure durability and aesthetics.
- Inspect and repair existing tile installations as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Provide guidance and training to apprentice tile setters as required.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in all aspects of tile installation, including knowledge of materials, techniques, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various environments.
