What’s The Job?

Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Dayton, Ohio

Salary: up to $93k based on experience

A team member will lead and supervise a team of mechanical technicians performing industrial maintenance in manufacturing facilities. Will always hold team to company and customer performance expectations. Will require some computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook.

What Will I Be Doing?

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

  • Hold daily start up meeting with team
  • Hold daily toolbox talks with team
  • Delegate daily work assignments
  • Meet with customer contacts as required daily, weekly
  • Provide direction on work execution
  • Ensure accountability of team members in quality, safety, and engagement
  • Assist as needed in field
  • Conduct quality audits of jobs in field
  • Ensure all documentation is completed timely and correctly
  • Establish performance goals for team members
  • Recognize team accomplishments
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Policy understanding and enforcement
  • Have deep knowledge of craft skills
  • OSHA certification, 10-hour required, 30-hour preferred
  • Conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Maintain documentation for any employee issues that arise.
  • Escalate issues to account manager as required
  • Review and approve time-off requests. Appropriately schedule employee time off to ensure proper manpower levels. Inform employees of any denials of time off and explain reasoning to them.
  • Maintain direct on-going communication with other company supervisors to ensure smooth workflow processes.
  • Accept feedback from others, set goals to improve performance based upon this feedback.
  • Inspires and motivates others to perform well.
  • Exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by company and customer.

  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting is required, 3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
  • Additional Skills : Strong facilitation and computer skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional team environments is essential.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
