Kubernetes(K8s)/Cloud Engineer

In this role as Kubernetes(K8s) Engineer/Administrator/Architect , you will be responsible for developing Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring its availability and performance. You will work with other engineers and our development team to ensure we are on the cutting edge of technology, while also being quick to work with our team to troubleshoot as issues come up. This role requires a strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, and Linux, as well as experience containerization technologies such as Docker.

Kubernetes Engineer Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
• Improve Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Develop Kubernetes-based solutions.
• Work with other engineers and our development team to troubleshoot Kubernetes issues.

Kubernetes Engineer Requirements & Skills

• Kubernetes administration experience, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Deep understanding of concepts, architecture, and components.
• Kubernetes development experience
• Linux/Unix experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Good Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, or related tools
• Must have industry experience and actual experience designing, building, securing, and managing Kubernetes on local cloud (VMware) at scale.
• Keep up to date with emerging Kubernetes technologies and best practices

Note: Our Kubernetes clusters are NOT cloud-based, we seek those with considerable server/Linux experience as we need someone who can not only configure and maintain but build these clusters from the ground up
