Job Description

A prestigious boutique law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to support its Community Associations Practice Group , which represents numerous condominium, homeowner, and cooperative associations throughout the District.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and senior paralegals on a variety of matters. Responsibilities include drafting and preparing correspondence to clients, management companies, courts, and third parties; assisting with litigation preparation; conducting legal and factual research; and supporting client billing and information-gathering efforts across a broad range of issues related to community associations.

In addition, this position will provide backup support to the firm’s Civil Litigation Group , which handles a wide array of matters including business disputes, employment, real estate, regulatory, and personal injury cases. In this capacity, the Legal Assistant may assist with preparing court filings, organizing case materials, coordinating discovery, supporting trial preparation, and maintaining case files for matters in state, federal, and administrative courts. The role may also involve assisting with mediation and arbitration preparation, as well as general litigation support functions.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $50,000 – $57,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k)

Schedule & Location:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Fully on-site position (not remote or hybrid)
  • Office located in NW Washington, DC (Metro accessible)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 6 months to 1 year of prior legal or administrative experience preferred
