Job Description
Eljen Technology is seeking a Machinist to join team in our Sweetwater, TX. The Machinist is responsible for the production of precision machining and assembly equipment.
Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Job Duties & Responsibilities: - Operate fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes
- Read and interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts
- Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material to be used on machines
- Examine and measure completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors
- Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; perform minor repairs within expertise
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area
- Comply with company and industry safety standards and regulations
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications - Excellent mechanical skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail a must
- Prolonged periods of standing and bending required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
- Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining
- Ability to read blueprints, plans and designs
- Ability to follow instructions
- Perform other related duties as assigned
