Job location: Dorsey Station, MD
Under direct supervision, performs any combination of rudimentary or unskilled tasks which typically require no previous knowledge, skills or experience or provides elementary support or assistance for unique projects or programs. Use of this job class may include but is not limited to assignments such as routine telephone or customer surveys, models, tutors, ticket takers, clerical assistants, delivery, or manual labor.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Ensure that quality services are provided to all current and prospective students and instructors at the Dorsey Station location.
Perform general clerical and office management duties in support of the site activities.
Conduct minor computer troubleshooting to assist instructors
Observe activities of UMGC students and staff in the building, document and report any activities to the Assistant Director that are not compliant with UMGC or Education Center rules and policies.
Ensure that building rules are abided by UMGC Dorsey Station students and instructors.
Ensure classrooms, computer labs, and offices are cleaned and organized.
Follow opening procedures before classes start and closing procedures after classes end
In the event of an emergency, call 911 or designated emergency services.
Maintain professionalism, workplace ethics, and etiquette, always demonstrating respect for others.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to read, write and follow instructions. Some positions may require demonstration of specific attributes or abilities to perform assigned work.
Position hours typically are 5:00pm to 10:00pm, Monday through Thursday (up to 19 hours per week)
