Job Description

Salary: $107,500 - 204,500 per year Requirements:

Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph, transferable and adjudicated within the past three years
U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in software engineering
Proficiency in object-oriented software development using Java within a Linux environment
Familiarity with unit testing tools like JUnit
Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python
Background in Agile and DevOps methodologies

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain software applications for Satellite Ground Systems
Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and software engineers for reliable software delivery
Implement and test Java-based applications and software components
Define software requirements and specifications in coordination with cross-functional teams
Modify existing codebases as necessary
Ensure software meets performance, reliability, and scalability standards
Participate in design and code reviews as well as system integration activities
Follow established software processes and documentation practices
Stay informed about advancements in Java and satellite technologies to foster innovation
