Job Description

Asakura Robinson is seeking a senior landscape architect to join our team with a focus on community-based and public-facing projects. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, mission-driven landscape architect who demonstrates strong design acumen, solid technical skills, and a deep interest in working with historically under-served communities and environmental and social ecosystems.

This is an opportunity to work with other senior staff to lead a strong and creative office culture and contribute to building meaningful projects that shape public space, restore ecological systems, and empower communities.

Skills, Requirements, and Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Landscape Architecture or related field
  • 10+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe CC Suite, and rendering software (SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, etc.)
  • Strong graphic communication and conceptual design skills
  • Working knowledge of sustainable communities and green infrastructure practice
  • Working knowledge of landscape design and construction; technically proficient with experience in construction documentation and detailing
  • Experience in community engagement, participatory design, or public realm projects is a strong plus
  • Experience in project and design studio management
  • Experience in client management
  • Excellent writing skills: reports, white paper presentation and other publications
  • Experience in successful business development, public presentations, and interviews
  • Licensure in Landscape Architecture
  • Bilingual abilities desired
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required
