Role Overview:

We’re seeking a Senior/Chief Preconstruction Manager to lead the planning, estimating, and strategic delivery of complex industrial construction projects from concept through to contract award. This role is responsible for driving high-quality cost planning, managing client relationships, and leading preconstruction teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and develop detailed estimates across all project stages, including benchmarking and value engineering
• Lead preconstruction strategy across multiple delivery methods (GMP, Design & Build, IPD, hard bid)
• Collaborate with operations on project planning, schedules, staffing, and financials
• Manage subcontractor engagement, pricing strategies, and scope alignment
• Lead client-facing estimate reviews and support bid and proposal development
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
• Utilise and oversee use of estimating tools (e.g. P6, Bluebeam, Sage, Assemble)
• Mentor and lead junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture
• Drive continuous improvement using data, historical insights, and innovative practices

Requirements:

• Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years experience in estimating and preconstruction leadership
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership abilities
• Proven experience managing multiple complex projects and teams
• Highly proficient with construction technology and estimating software
• Experience with Data Center Construction is preferable
