No Matter What Recovery – Chicago, IL

We are seeking a licensed or master’s-level clinician working toward licensure to join our Chicago outpatient team, providing services across PHP, IOP, and OP levels of care in alignment with Illinois Administrative Code Part 2060 and ASAM Criteria.

Position Overview

The Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy for clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders, with a strong emphasis on LGBTQ+ affirming care and trauma-informed client-centered treatment.

This role may function independently or under supervision, depending on licensure status and scope of practice under Illinois law.

Acceptable Credentials (Illinois-Based)

Independent / Fully Licensed (Preferred)

  • LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor)
  • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
  • LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
  • Eligible for independent clinical practice in accordance with Illinois licensure lawsMay complete and sign clinical documentation independently within program scopeProvisionally Licensed (Supervision Required)
  • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
  • LSW (Licensed Social Worker)
  • Master’s-level clinician pursuing LMFT licensure
  • Must receive clinical supervision from an LCPC, LCSW, or LMFTSupervision provided in accordance with Illinois licensure requirements (individual and group)Clinical documentation must be reviewed/signed per supervision and program requirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy
  • Facilitate process groups, psychoeducation, and specialty groups (trauma, identity, relapse prevention, etc.)
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments, ASAM level of care determinations, and treatment plans
  • Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with Illinois Part 2060, payer requirements, and program policies
  • Collaborate with medical, case management, and recovery support teams
  • Support clients with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Deliver care using:
  • ◦ Trauma-Informed Care◦ CBT and DBT interventions◦ Harm Reduction principles◦ LGBTQ+ affirming clinical frameworksIdeal Candidate
  • Passionate about working with LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse populations
  • Experience with substance use and/or co-occurring disorders
  • Familiarity with ASAM Criteria (preferred)
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced outpatient setting (PHP/IOP)
  • Strong group facilitation and documentation skills
  • Values dignity, inclusivity, and client-centered care
