Job Summary

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) professional supports the organization's risk management program by identifying, assessing, quantifying, monitoring, and mitigating risks that could impact strategic, operational, financial, and reputational objectives.

 

Job Description

  • Facilitate risk identification workshops and discussions with business stakeholders.
  • Assess strategic, operational, financial, compliance, and reputational risks across the organization.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments using established frameworks and methodologies.
  • Develop risk profiles, risk scoring models, and enterprise risk heat maps.
  • Analyze risk interdependencies and potential cascading impacts across business functions.
  • Perform scenario analysis, stress testing, and sensitivity analysis to evaluate organizational resilience.
  • Maintain and enhance the enterprise risk register, ensuring accuracy and completeness of risk information.
  • Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and establish appropriate thresholds.
  • Track risk mitigation activities and monitor effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and executive presentations that communicate key findings and recommendations.
  • Translate complex risk data into actionable insights for management and leadership teams.
  • Support board-level and executive-level risk reporting as applicable.
  • Collaborate with risk owners to develop practical mitigation plans aligned with organizational risk tolerance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business units on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor emerging risks and escalate significant issues when appropriate.
  • Partner with internal audit, compliance, legal, finance, and operational teams to share risk intelligence and coordinate risk oversight activities.
  • Support integration of risk considerations into strategic planning and business decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of enterprise risk management frameworks, methodologies, and processes.
  • Support ongoing improvements to risk governance, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Research industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve risk assessment methodologies, reporting capabilities, and risk analytics.
  • Participate in enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen organizational risk management practices.
  • Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments and strategic risk initiatives.
  • Design and oversee quantitative risk models, value-at-risk calculations, and advanced analytics.
  • Facilitate cross-functional risk management projects and working groups.
  • Advise senior leaders on risk exposure, risk tolerance, and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop executive and board-level reporting materials.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide quality assurance reviews.
  • Lead the evolution of enterprise risk management frameworks and governance programs.
  • Represent the ERM function in executive leadership meetings, risk committees, and strategic planning discussions.

 

Skills Required

Senior Analyst

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise risk management, financial analysis, risk analytics, internal audit, compliance, finance, or a related discipline.

Lead

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in enterprise risk management or related risk disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide risk initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with risk assessment methodologies and risk management frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and identify meaningful risk insights.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and executive presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Familiarity with quantitative modeling, scenario analysis, and stress testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) concepts and systems is preferred.
  • Preferred Certifications
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • CQRM (Certified Quantitative Risk Management)
  • Additional risk-related certifications are a plus.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Risk Management, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Pay rate

  • $64 - $78 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
