Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized Contract IT Asset Manager to support our client’s IT Service Desk operations with a focus on asset management, purchasing, and reporting. This role requires experience in hardware/software procurement, auditing, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will be analytical, Excel-savvy, and proactive in managing IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This is a 12 month contract and has a hybrid work model in Camden, N.

Responsibilities:

  • Procure hardware and software licenses based on business needs
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes and lead times
  • Analyze software needs, validate licensing, and generate purchase orders
  • Ensure procurement aligns with internal budget and compliance standards
  • Track and manage IT inventory (laptops, peripherals, software)
  • Receive and validate deliveries; update asset records in ServiceNow
  • Assign assets to end users and ensure accurate documentation throughout lifecycle
  • Generate reports on asset utilization, purchasing trends, and compliance
  • Analyze data to identify gaps, overages, or cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain accurate asset and purchasing records using advanced Excel tools

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, Purchasing, or Service Desk Analysis
  • Strong background in hardware/software procurement and purchasing auditing
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data modeling)
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for asset tracking and reporting
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of IT process control and documentation standards
  • Preferred Familiarity with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD) for device/user validation
