Bistro Provence is a small, fine dining French bistro in Bethesda, MD. We focus on traditional French cuisine, quality ingredients, and genuine hospitality. Because of our size, everyone on the team wears multiple hats and takes real ownership of the guest experience. Our dining room is intimate and polished, and we take pride in giving every guest an outstanding meal from start to finish.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position. In addition to standard table service, our servers are expected to work the bar and prepare our signature cocktails. You should be comfortable moving between the floor and the bar throughout a shift.

Responsibilities include taking food and beverage orders, preparing cocktails, processing payments, setting and maintaining tables, and keeping the dining room and bar area clean and organized. You will also handle guest questions and any issues that come up during service, and work closely with the kitchen and the rest of the front of house team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality is strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, attentiveness to guest needs, and maintaining a polite and positive attitude.
• Bartending experience and the ability to make classic and signature cocktails accurately and consistently.
• Knowledge of food and beverages, including wine pairing, menu familiarity, and the ability to make personalized recommendations to guests.
• Time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tables and handle a fast-paced dining environment efficiently.
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in order-taking, billing, and table settings.
• Team collaboration skills to work effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as required during dining service.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math for handling payments is a plus.

Salary

USD $4.00/Hr. This position earns tips.
